Press Release

The Reesco Group believes in the retail sector and is expanding its specialization

Back

Retailers have been hit hard by the pandemic. Such a large impulse will affect the pace of changes in the retail market and will result in the need to adapt existing spaces and a new approach to design. The Reesco Group treats cooperation with the retail sector as a priority and expands its specialization by creating Reesco Retail – a team experienced in planning and implementing the reconstruction of various types of retail facilities.

Establishing Reesco Retail as part of the Reesco Group is a response to the needs of owners, managers and tenants. The key task of the new team will be to analyze the possibility of redevelopment and propose the most optimal solutions as part of the design, valuation and implementation of construction works. The Reesco Retail team will operate on three levels: from adapting the space and carrying out arrangement works for the tenant, reconstruction of the facility for the landlord, and ending with the construction of retail parks and convenience centers.

The Reesco Retail team will be led by Lucyna Śliż and Tomasz Tylec, who will combine their experience gained from their work in consulting agencies, representing retail chains and general contracting for the retail market.

Reesco has completed over 700,000 sq m. of office, retail and hotel space in over 600 projects. We are competent in planning and implementing major commercial real estate redevelopments. This gives us the opportunity to create a new team focused on this market. We have great project managers and engineers who will use their previous experience in winning new contracts and working on projects located all over Poland– underlines Lucyna Śliż, Head of Development, Reesco Retail.

The establishment of Reesco Retail is a natural step in the company’s evolution. As part of the office sector, we specialize in thorough process development, looking for quality and cost-effective solutions that meet customer expectations. Currently, for the last 2 years, we have been carrying out the very large reconstruction of the Bonarka Shopping Center in Krakow. The scope of works already completed covers approximately 8,900 sq. m. rebuilt, including the creation of approx. 1,500 sq. m. of new GLA area. We know how to implement such multi-stage projects, which is why we want to reach out more with our services for this sector– ays Tomasz Tylec, Head of Construction, Reesco Retail.

The commercial real estate market will change, but we believe that shopping malls will come alive again. Every time we visit commercial facilities, we see how difficult the situation is in the industry. Before, many shopping malls in Poland, due to their age and level of operation, had to be refurbished or rebuilt – says Artur Winnicki, CEO, Reesco Group – We see a growing demand for experienced partners who will be able to carry out the entire investment process. We have completed retail projects, and now we will develop this specialization thanks to a separate team – emphasizes Artur Winnicki.
